The Ohio Oil Collector Series


This project began in early 1997 and the goal was to produce an authentic metal replica of an original bulk tanker from The Ohio Oil Company. After months of historical research and a review of photographs, preliminary artwork was based on a photo from Marathon archives. We then reviewed collectible replica manufacturers and chose First Gear LLC. They produce custom die-cast metal replicas and use a stamp pad painting process for all graphics. The red and blue colors were matched to actual Marathon paint chips and the license plates were matched to the archived photo. The graphic detail of the 1/34 scale 1953 White 3000 is quite remarkable. The actual weight is 26.5 oz. and approximate dimensions are 7.25" l x 2.88" w x 3.13" h. This beautiful collectible replica is for ages ten and older and comes in full color custom packaging. This First Edition 1953 White 3000 Tanker Truck is a onetime, limited quantity production with First Gear model number 19-2208. Remaining quantities are limited.
